- Plant 3 Howmet United States, Michigan, Whitehall May 12, 2026 Job Info Job Identification 117561 Job Category Operations Posting Date 05/11/2026, 03:46 PM Locations One Misco Drive, Whitehall, MI, 49461-1799, US (On-site) Job Schedule Full time Export-Controlled Data This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items , Responsibilities This Facilities Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the direction and coordination of repair, maintenance, and installation activities within Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation.

- wields influence to shift focus from restoration and problem solving to improvements and strategic investments, yet understands the immediacy of issues and acts quickly to remedy critical issues; maintains critical inventory to address common or anticipated needs Standardization
- creates timelines and a compelling case for planned interventions; scales across units and facilities where applicable; collaborates with other leaders who own aspects of processes to align and agree; creates contingency strategies and procedures Critically objective
- orchestrates among competing priorities; eliminates subjective criteria; handles pressure from multiple sources dispassionately; leads by example and confidence to meet challenges; evaluative, not reactive Matrixed communication
- Seeks and provides information from/to multiple sources across the enterprise; gains broad and deep understanding of business priorities and aligns interventions accordingly; obtains real-time feedback from floor-level associates and plans with staff level leaders to minimize disruption of necessary interventions; ensures advance notice and full reporting occur Coordination

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable in a maintenance department 5+ years of supervisory experience Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance department Ability to read blueprints Experience with TPM, Synchronous Mfg, and Kaizen Concepts Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, have good team building skills, excellent people skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, technically oriented Previous experience in facility maintenance and basic understanding on industrial plant infrastructure including air handline equipment, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, etc General understanding of construction, maintenance and fabrication methods Energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, good telephone skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere , About Us Howmet Aerospace Inc.
