Position Summary:

This position is for a First Shift Manufacturing Manager located in Rochester, MN. The role is responsible for overseeing first shift operations related to the manufacturing of human platelet extract and the mixing of cosmetic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in biologics or cosmetics manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and proven leadership skills. This is a working manager role, combining hands-on production responsibilities with team leadership and coordination.

Job Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Operations Lead first shift production of human platelet extract and cosmetic product formulation in accordance with established batch records and quality standards. Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and documentation requirements. Oversee batch production and completion of batch records. Complete batch records as an individual contributor. Coordinate with manufacturing team and quality to ensure timely troubleshooting of production issues. Equipment Oversight Operate and maintain mixers, lyophilizers, and other manufacturing equipment Perform first-line troubleshooting and basic maintenance Collaborate with Facilities on equipment repairs Team Leadership Hire, train, and supervise first shift manufacturing staff Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Ensure smooth shift transitions and effective communication with second shift and cross-functional teams. Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in manufacturing in a regulated industry such as cosmetics, food, or pharma
• Familiarity with aseptic technique, cleanroom environment, and batch documentation
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Collaborative and team oriented Education and Experience Requirements
• At least 10 years of experience in a controlled manufacturing environment such as cosmetics, food, or pharma
• Minimum of five years in supervisory or management role
• Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
