Job Description

Leading manufacturer of liquid antacids. Job Summary The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading daily operations across liquid and solid oral dose manufacturing within a GMP-regulated OTC/pharmaceutical environment. This role oversees production leadership teams, drives operational accountability, improves manufacturing efficiency, and develops a culture focused on safety, quality, and performance. The Manufacturing Manager will serve as a highly visible, hands-on leader capable of implementing process improvements, restructuring teams where necessary, and establishing measurable operational standards. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple product lines and shifts Provide direct leadership, coaching, and accountability to production teams, superintendents, leads, and operators Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, staffing structure, and operational efficiency Establish and monitor KPIs, production metrics, and accountability standards throughout manufacturing operations Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, FDA regulations, and company quality standards Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support plant objectives Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, operational inefficiencies, and team performance challenges Support staffing strategy, team restructuring, training, and leadership development initiatives Maintain strong floor presence and actively engage with production personnel across shifts Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience within OTC or pharmaceutical manufacturing Strong experience overseeing both liquid and solid oral dose manufacturing operations Proven background leading large manufacturing teams in GMP-regulated environments Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, improve culture, and implement operational structure Strong understanding of FDA regulations, cGMP standards, deviations, investigations, and manufacturing compliance requirements Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment undergoing operational transformation Preferred Leadership Style The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, decisive, highly accountable, and capable of creating structure within evolving operations. This individual should be comfortable making difficult decisions, holding teams accountable, and driving meaningful operational change while building trust and credibility across the organization.
Pay:
