The successful candidate under the direction from the Associate Director, Manufacturing, is accountable for; safety, quality, productivity, material handling, cost performance and employee relations for assigned crew in this non-union facility. Job requires efficient use of resources (labor, materials, and equipment) to manufacture quality products at lowest possible cost. Supervise and coordinate the activities of hourly employees on assigned crew. Position is responsible for implementing and maintaining best manufacturing practices and regulatory compliance for assigned crew. What you'll be doing: Teach and lead the safety process for assigned crew to prevent injuring employees. Manage production and quality to meet customer demands while minimizing overtime and inventory. Meet performance metric expectations using methods such as; 5S, 6 Sigma, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing. Build and maintain productive relationships that foster employee engagement and satisfaction. Provide direction, training and development as well as counseling or discipline as needed. This position is located in Charlotte, NC. We'd love to hear from you if: Bachelors degree in business, science or engineering required Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in manufacturing but prefer 2-3 Leadership
