Job Description
Manufacturing Operations Manager (Injection Molding Environment) Position Summary This role is a key manufacturing leadership position responsible for overseeing daily production operations in a high-volume injection molding environment. The Operations Manager drives safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while leading cross-functional production, maintenance, and manufacturing support teams. This leader plays a critical role in ensuring stable and efficient injection molding operations while supporting continuous improvement, production scalability, and overall plant performance. Key Responsibilities Lead daily injection molding production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and output goals Oversee production, maintenance, shipping/receiving, and manufacturing support teams Manage production scheduling, workflow, and manufacturing execution Ensure equipment uptime, mold performance, and process stability across injection molding operations Support new product launches, process transfers, and production scale-up activities Partner with engineering and quality teams on process improvements and troubleshooting Drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives Lead root cause analysis and resolve production and process issues Ensure compliance with ISO/FDA/regulatory quality systems and safety standards Develop and coach production supervisors and shop-floor leadership teams Improve labor utilization, material flow, and overall operational efficiency Qualifications 5-8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume production environment Strong injection molding or plastics manufacturing background preferred Experience leading production, maintenance, and manufacturing support teams Solid understanding of production flow, scheduling, and operational KPIs Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and quality teams Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction and without the need for current or future sponsorship.
