Job Description

The Whiskey Project Group, USA is seeking a Production Manager with strong marine manufacturing experience for its Edenton, NC location. The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of boat production, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. This role will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver vessels on time, on budget, and in compliance with regulatory and defence standards.
Job Duties:
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises daily production activities for maritime and defence & commercial boat manufacturing.
  • Coordinates with engineering, supply chain, quality, and project management teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitors production schedules, resource allocations, and staffing to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensures adherence to company quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
ABYC, ISO, USCG
(DoD, DFARS, ITAR).
  • Analyses production performance, identifies inefficiencies, and implements process improvements.
  • Oversees equipment maintenance, facility operations, and inventory management to optimize production output.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepared production reports and metrics for senior leadership.
  • Manages vendors and subcontractors' relationships to support production goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex production processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of maritime and defence industry manufacturing standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with production planning, ERP, or manufacturing management software.
  • Ability to prioritize task and drive results in a fast-paced, deadline-drive environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or related field required; advanced degree or certifications in production or operations management preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive production management experience in maritime, defence, or commercial boat manufacturing industries.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Familiarity with government contracting regulations (DoD, DFARS, ITAR) preferred.

$104,000 -$120,000 Full time: M-F 8-5 Full time benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, 401k. 4 weeks PTO (2 weeks discretionary annually + 2 weeks during mandatory shutdown Christmas - New Years) + 12 Paid Holidays.
