Floor Manager Location:
High Point, NC Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (regular overtime required based on production needs)Pay Range:
$50,000-$55,000 per year (based on experience)Employment Type:
Full-Time, Direct Hire Position Summary We are seeking an organized, hands-on Assistant Plant Manager / Floor Manager to help lead daily production operations in a custom manufacturing environment focused on craftsmanship and precision. The ideal candidate is a professional, process-driven leader who takes pride in organization, accountability, and team development. This role supports all aspects of production from scheduling and material coordination to workforce supervision and safety compliance while driving efficiency and quality on the shop floor. This is a production-driven environment, and the right candidate must be flexible and willing to work overtime when required to meet deadlines and customer commitments. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate day-to-day floor operations to meet production goals and quality standards. Oversee workflow, labor assignments, and materials to ensure deadlines are met. Enforce safety standards and maintain OSHA compliance. Monitor and improve production processes to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Train and mentor production staff to ensure consistency, teamwork, and accountability. Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve production challenges. Track inventory levels, material usage, and equipment maintenance. Help establish and document SOPs to create structure and improve organization. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in millwork, woodworking, or custom manufacturing (supervisory experience desired). Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, joinery, veneers, and finishing processes. Ability to read and interpret architectural or shop drawings. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience with ERP or production management systems preferred. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles a plus. Must be dependable and willing to work overtime as needed in a deadline-driven environment.
