Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Plant Manager to lead operations at a rapidly expanding manufacturing organization on day shift, supporting all shifts for 500 employees. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of plant management, including production, quality assurance, supply chain coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing operations, with expertise in production management systems such as SAP and ERP platforms, and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles. As Plant Manager, you will drive operational excellence, foster a safety-first environment, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products to meet customer demands efficiently. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all manufacturing activities to ensure optimal production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance. Develop and implement production plans utilizing ERP systems like SAP and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to align with demand forecasts and inventory levels. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing techniques and process optimization strategies. Oversee supply chain management by analyzing supply chain analytics, managing procurement processes, and ensuring timely material availability. Manage plant personnel by providing leadership, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performance team. Monitor key performance indicators related to production output, quality control, and operational costs; implement corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to streamline operations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the facility. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and oversee maintenance schedules. Lead efforts in process improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, enhancing productivity, and maintaining product quality. Requirements Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment; prior plant management experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems; familiarity with MRP processes is essential. Expertise in lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization, ideally international experience. Solid understanding of supply chain analytics and supply chain management strategies. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery and oversee maintenance activities. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse personnel effectively. Demonstrated ability in operations management, production planning, quality control, and assembly processes. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field; advanced certifications are advantageous.
