Job Description

Operations Manager Greater Keene, NH (relocations assistance provided) Competitive Base Salary, Annual Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Day One, 401(k) Match + Defined Contribution Plan Immediate need for an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations for a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer. This role is responsible for delivering world-class performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, lead time, and employee development. You will translate business objectives into clear operational priorities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business plan targets. Essential Job Duties:
Lead the precision bearing manufacturing operation to meet or exceed business plan objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and lead time. Drive alignment by clearly communicating strategy, goals, and tactical execution plans across all levels of the organization. Manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and high first-pass yield performance Ensure accurate and timely production reporting, including maintenance of master data (rates, routings, setup times, utilization, scrap). Partner with Materials Management to optimize raw material flow and component availability to support demand. Oversee machining, heat treat, grinding, finishing, assembly, and shipping operations to improve throughput and operational flow. Monitor scrap, repair, and non-conformance costs; lead initiatives to reduce waste and cost of poor quality. Develop and execute workforce development programs focused on coaching, training, and capability building. Identify and lead Lean initiatives to reduce variability, improve process capability, and drive operational excellence. + Operations Leadership. Send anyone up to $155K. Will relo, lump sum. Manages Plant Operations for a 270+ person facility in Keene. Manages Production, Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, and Maintenance. The plant is growing due to investment $25M injection this year which will grow the plant above 300 people.
Bearings used in precision applications:
aerospace/defense, automotive, medical device, precision machining Managers 2 Area Leaders who oversee 6 supervisors. In addition it manages Maintenance (has 10-12 people) and a Program Manager. The supervisors each have 20-25 people underneath them. 3 shifts at the moment. Increasing to 4 with the addition of a weekend shift. They are seeking a combination of Continuous Improvement and Leadership. They cannot find someone with excellent leadership and mentoring ability since the area leaders are green. Bachelor's Degree required

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within a complex production environment. Strong leadership, decision-making, and team development capabilities. Experience with SAP, MRP, or ERP systems; strong analytical and computer proficiency. Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated ability to coach and develop frontline supervisors and operations leaders.
