A leading manufacturer of highly customized building products is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a fast-paced, customer-driven operation in Southern New Jersey. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who excels at improving production flow, eliminating bottlenecks, developing teams, and driving operational excellence. You'll have responsibility for production, quality, safety, materials, and financial performance while leading a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The operation manufactures made-to-order products in an environment where customer expectations are high, lead times are tight, and operational execution directly impacts business success. The successful candidate will bring structure, improve plant performance, develop people, and drive sustainable process improvements that increase throughput, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities ? Lead daily manufacturing operations across production, quality, materials, and safety. ? Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction. ? Manage plant capacity, labor utilization, and production scheduling to meet customer demand and delivery commitments. ? Develop supervisors and frontline leaders while creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and performance. ? Own plant financial performance, including cost management, productivity improvements, and operational planning. ? Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. ? Partner with leadership teams across finance, sales, and operations to support growth and business objectives. Qualifications ? 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience. ? Prior Plant Manager or comparable operations leadership experience with P&L responsibility. ? Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. ? Experience in woodworking, millwork, CNC machining, metal fabrication, building products, or other made-to-order manufacturing environments. ? Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing teams and improving operational performance. ? Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. Compensation & Benefits ? $140,000-$180,000 base salary ? Performance bonus opportunity ?
