401(k) Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Executive Director Food Manufacturing Industry Position Summary The Executive Director serves as the senior operational leader of Yummy Acai and is responsible for translating the company's strategic vision into measurable results. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director oversees all operational departments and management personnel to ensure alignment, accountability, efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth. This role provides leadership across Production, Procurement, Logistics, Human Resources, Sales Support, Quality, and Administrative functions while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. The Executive Director serves as the primary point of accountability for operational performance and organizational execution. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Execute the company's strategic objectives and growth initiatives. Develop annual operating plans and performance goals. Partner with ownership to establish long-term business priorities. Lead organizational planning and structure development. Management Oversight Directly manage department leaders and senior management personnel. Conduct regular leadership meetings and performance reviews. Ensure alignment between departments and company objectives. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Operational Performance Oversee manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and administrative operations. Monitor productivity, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational costs. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability. Ensure operational resources are aligned with business demands. Financial Accountability Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes. Monitor departmental performance against budget. Drive cost-control initiatives and margin improvement opportunities. Evaluate capital expenditures and operational investments. People & Culture Support recruitment, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance and effective workforce management. Develop leadership talent throughout the organization. Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with all food safety, OSHA, FDA, state, and local regulations. Support quality assurance initiatives and operational audits. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Baseline:
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, distribution, or related industries.
Leadership Track Record:
Proven experience successfully leading multi-department operations and managing cross-functional senior talent.
Financial Acumen:
Deep experience with complex financial management, profit-margin analysis, and corporate KPI tracking.
Process Mastery:
Demonstrated history of implementing organizational and operational improvements (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or specialized plant workflow designs).
Communication:
Exceptional communication and relationship skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred to bridge communication between executive leadership and plant floor processing groups.
