GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Utilize leadership abilities to ensure smooth production within the specified area of the facility. The Area Coordinator (AC), under limited management, ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and specifications. The AC is responsible for supervising the flow and operation of their assigned area or department, which includes but is not limited to: Organizing and providing production specifications to all team members Ensuring that Team Leaders are conducting toolbox meetings, and that team member communication is in alignment with the expectations of senior leadership Ensuring smooth operation and flow of assigned production area including coverage of team members for all job duties Leadership by communication and adherence of company policies and rules
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Provide direction to team members within the assigned area of the production facility Provide additional support for all Team Members of the assigned area. Help ensure smooth operation by problem solving for any issues that arise throughout the day Organize and prepare all production paperwork prior to the start of the production day Partner with Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure all duties within the production line are properly covered and staffed. If any Team Members are out for the day, ensure proper coverage has been assigned to continue smooth production Ensure all raw materials, tools, and machinery are in place for all Team Members of their designated production area Maintain a watchful eye for any safety hazards and partner with the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for all reported safety hazards within the facility Provide routine updates on vital information to the Production Manager and General Manager Complete routine clean sweeps of the assigned production area to ensure a safe and clean environment for all Team Members Carry out end of shift / day clean up procedures - such as cleaning and servicing of workstations and equipment Complete daily end of day procedures to ensure all Team Members have been accounted for, plant close up sheet has been processed, and all safety hazards have been addressed Additional specific duties as applicable for assigned departments
REQUIREMENTS 2
years' management experience in a manufacturing environment or related field 2-year degree in Business or related field preferred Strong understanding of manufacturing and maintenance processes Strong communication, analytical, and reasoning skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities Able to function in a fast-paced environment Able to push, pull, bend, and lift at least 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods of time Other physical duties as needed Why Clayton?
