This role is built for a strategic, hands-on operations leader with deep manufacturing expertise, strong continuous improvement capability, and the ability to build a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence. The Plant Manager oversees all plant functions, including Production, Quality, EHS, and Materials, with 3-6 direct reports and up to 60 indirect reports. Primary Function The Plant Manager owns the full operational performance of the facility—people, processes, quality, delivery, and profitability. This leader ensures production meets customer expectations, drives Lean improvements, strengthens standardized systems, and aligns plant capabilities with business objectives. Key Accountabilities Production Efficiency
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to exceed production, quality, and customer requirements
  • Sustain 98%+ On-Time & Complete (OTC) performance
  • Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve safety, reduce cost, and shorten lead times
  • Monitor KPIs for labor utilization and efficiency; implement corrective actions
  • Build and reinforce a culture of accountability Production Scheduling & Capacity
  • Manage plant capacity and proactively eliminate bottlenecks
  • Communicate weekly lead times by product line to internal and external stakeholders
  • Align staffing and plant flow with demand through deep capacity understanding
  • Evaluate flow, machine utilization, and cell load for risk and improvement
  • Maintain visual scheduling and capacity models supporting daily improvement routines Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop teams with clear goals, expectations, and routine feedback
  • Build and enforce Standard Operating Procedures
  • Use Voice of Customer and Voice of Employee insights to improve performance
  • Mentor, coach, and support career development
  • Cross-train employees to build flexibility and capability P&L Ownership
  • Own full plant P&L; manage cost structure and drive productivity to offset inflation
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to align operations with business goals
  • Evaluate capital investments and staffing decisions with strong financial discipline
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cost while protecting safety and quality Quality & EHS Assurance
  • Ensure 100% compliance with safety policies, environmental regulations, and company standards
  • Maintain standardized work aligned with enterprise operating systems
  • Own internal and external quality performance for all plant output
  • Foster a culture that encourages proactive EHS feedback and improvement Compensation
  • Up to $180,000 base salary (depending on experience)

  • 8+ years of operations leadership in a manufacturing environment

  • Proven Lean leadership with measurable results
  • Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change in a dynamic environment
  • Prior P&L ownership
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong capability in building standardized systems and enforcing accountability
  • Data-driven decision-making mindset
  • Hands-on leadership style with a passion for employee engagement
Pay:
$160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
