Lead the Growth of Our Folding Carton Manufacturing Operations Standard Printing Company is seeking a strategic, driven, and people-focused Production Manager to lead our Folding Carton and Finishing Operations . This leadership role will be instrumental in driving the continued growth and expansion of our folding carton manufacturing capabilities while overseeing key finishing operations that support both packaging and specialty print production. The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing leader who can develop people, optimize processes, build operational scalability, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment. Position Summary The Production Manager will lead daily manufacturing operations while helping shape the long-term strategy and growth of Standard Printing Company's folding carton and finishing capabilities. This individual will focus heavily on team development, operational efficiency, quality, process improvement, and production scalability to support continued expansion within folding carton and specialty packaging markets. https://youtu.be/5wHadiWauow Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and production employees across folding carton and finishing operations Build a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, safety, engagement, and continuous improvement Establish clear performance expectations and measurable departmental goals Develop workforce capabilities through effective onboarding, training, mentoring, and succession planning Promote cross-training and operational flexibility across departments Production & Operational Management Direct daily operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery Oversee workflow across wide format digital, large format cutting, die cutting, and folding/gluing Monitor schedules, staffing, equipment utilization, and production performance to proactively address bottlenecks and improve throughput Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, efficiency, and workflow optimization Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and quality standards Collaborate with maintenance and leadership teams to maximize equipment reliability and operational uptime Utilize production metrics and KPIs to improve labor efficiency, quality performance, and profitability Folding Carton Growth & Strategic Development Serve as a key operational leader supporting the company's continued expansion in folding carton manufacturing Help develop scalable operational processes and infrastructure to support future growth Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, workflow optimization, and capability expansion Partner with sales, estimating, scheduling, and leadership teams to align production capabilities with customer opportunities and market demand Assist in evaluating future equipment, technology, staffing, and operational investments Safety & Quality Maintain and promote a strong safety-first culture throughout operations Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and environmental standards Drive quality improvement initiatives and corrective action processes Ensure finished products consistently meet customer expectations and production specifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Printing Technology, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience in packaging, printing, converting, folding carton, or related production environments Strong operational leadership and team development experience Experience with die cutting, folding/gluing, converting, or folding carton production strongly preferred Knowledge of finishing operations and specialty print manufacturing processes Demonstrated success driving operational improvements and production efficiencies Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred Proficiency with ERP/MIS systems and Microsoft Office applications Key Leadership Competencies Strategic Thinking Team Leadership & Development Operational Excellence Continuous Improvement Change Management Accountability & Execution Problem Solving & Decision Making Communication & Collaboration Growth Mindset Work Environment Manufacturing and production environment Frequent walking throughout production areas Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds Exposure to production equipment, noise, and manufacturing conditions
