Job Description:
SUMMARY The Program Manager of Advanced Manufacturing is responsible for the operational execution and coordination of advanced manufacturing-related academic and workforce programs within Cuyahoga Community College's Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Training Academy. This role supports the College's mission to provide high-quality education and training aligned with industry needs, especially in Northeast Ohio's growing advanced manufacturing sector, with a primary focus on enrollment growth, instructional capacity, and program delivery efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages the day‑to‑day operational execution of Advanced Manufacturing programs, with a primary focus on Manufacturing Technology—including Machining, CNC and Composites. Additionally, assists with the execution of Integrated Systems and Engineering Technology (electrical and mechanical), Welding, and related contract training programs. Coordinates the delivery and operational readiness of manufacturing programs, including credit and non-credit offerings, in alignment with program strategy and leadership direction. Collaborates with faculty, instructors, and other instructional and administrative staff to support instructional readiness, onboarding, and consistency across programs and sections. Supports accreditation and compliance activities through operational coordination and documentation, as directed by program leadership. Supports employer-informed programming by translating workforce demand data into operational scheduling and delivery adjustments, in coordination with the Director. Supports apprenticeship initiatives to expand experiential learning opportunities for students through scheduling coordination, instructor alignment, and program logistics. Participates in industry and community engagement activities as requested, in support of program operations and delivery. Coordinates career pathways and stackable credentials by supporting operational alignment between credit and non-credit offerings, in collaboration with academic and workforce leadership. Tracks and reports operational performance metrics, including section counts, enrollment fill rates, instructor utilization, and delivery timelines. Leads operational planning and coordination of class schedules, manages enrollments and waitlists, and takes corrective action to reduce under-filled or cancelled sections. Coordinates program operations with instructors, support staff, and internal partners to ensure smooth delivery of programs and courses. Supports grant-funded program execution, including scheduling, instructor coordination, and reporting of operational deliverables. Maintains industry related currency/relevancy through periodic professional development opportunities, including but not limited to externships, career pathway training, work-based learning experiences, conferences, forums, symposia, presentations, and industry certification activities or related situations, to inform operational relevance and delivery. Prepares operational reports and briefings for internal stakeholders focused on program delivery, enrollment, and capacity. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering technology, industrial management, or related field. Significant related experience may substitute for education Minimum of five years of full-time experience in manufacturing, program coordination, workforce development, or higher education with responsibility for program operations or delivery. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in manufacturing, labor organizations, and skilled trades. Demonstrated experience coordinating instructional delivery, scheduling, and operational workflows. Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem-solving methods in adaptive situations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and

Possess comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing technologies, industry certifications, and workforce trends. Possess strong organizational and time-management skills and is results-oriented. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. Target Starting Salary Range:
$65,000 to $75,000 The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted to fall within this range but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
