Business Unit Manager Brookville, OH Summary/Objective:
The Business Unit Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the Tool, Gage, and Metallurgy Management program. This position is onsite at the customer's facility and includes managing all personnel, onsite operations, and customers tooling budget. They will work diligently to fulfill the commitment of providing the right tool at the right price and at the right time. The expectation is that the person performing this role will efficiently and accurately perform all tasks related to our customer's requirements and expectations. Experience in managing personnel and manufacturing operations is required. Job Functions:
Develop a cost-effective procurement and management program for all requirements pertaining to tool, gage, and metallurgy management. Business Unit Manager will manage to optimal use of material, Client, and equipment while reducing total tool expenditures and inventory levels. Manage KPI's with month-over-month and year-over-year performance tracking. Manage Supplier relationships and performance tracking including delivery, quality, support, etc. Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of team members through improvements in standardized tasks, as well as coordination and communication between varying roles and functions. Drive initiatives onsite that contribute to long-term operational excellence and cost savings. Demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering terminology. Promote safety and encourage a safe working environment. Develop/maintain inventory management systems. Liaison with top internal management and customer management. Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for operational success. Develop effective business relationships with customer stakeholders and strive for top level customer satisfaction. Competencies:
Leadership, Engineering, Tooling & Manufacturing background. Strong focus on detail, ingenuity, and self-motivation. Have the ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others. Show the ability to help solve problems in the work place by finding solutions. Attend Team meetings and follow up on demands. Stay on track with internal and customer goals, and the tasks and goals set by your manager. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Education/Experience:
College Degree required, and Advance Degree preferred in Business Administration, or Mechanical / Industrial Engineering. 5-10 years management experience required with relevant Industry production experience . Knowledge of business management, financial accounting, HR, and project management practices and principles. Knowledge of automotive manufacturing, Client, BIQ, BPD systems highly preferred.
