Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Program Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing initiatives within the aerotech sector. This pivotal role involves managing complex programs from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, quality standards, and budget parameters. The ideal candidate will excel in program development, process optimization, and cross-functional leadership, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Lead the planning, development, and execution of manufacturing programs, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget using project management methodologies such as PMBOK and Agile frameworks like SAFe. Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, production, supply chain, and quality assurance to facilitate seamless program delivery. Implement change management strategies to adapt processes efficiently while minimizing disruptions and maintaining stakeholder engagement. Conduct root cause analysis and apply Lean Six Sigma principles to identify process inefficiencies and drive Kaizen events for continuous improvement. Develop comprehensive project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet; monitor progress through earned value management and risk assessments. Manage vendor relationships and IT infrastructure integrations essential for program success; oversee contract negotiations and vendor performance evaluations. Facilitate meetings effectively to communicate project status, resolve conflicts, and align team efforts toward common goals. Utilize data analysis skills for requirements gathering, requirements analysis, process mapping, and business process modeling to optimize workflows. Oversee program documentation including technical reports, process documentation, and technical writing to ensure clarity and compliance. Drive program leadership by fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation while maintaining strict quality management standards. Skills Extensive experience in program development, project lifecycle management (including scope management), and project implementation within manufacturing or aerospace sectors. Proficiency with project management software such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, Workday, Primavera P6, Basecamp, Project Server or Microsoft Project; adept at utilizing PPM tools like Smartsheet or ServiceNow. Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies combined with Waterfall and Agile approaches for effective project delivery. Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management skills; capable of leading diverse teams through change initiatives using conflict management techniques. Expertise in requirements gathering/analysis, process management (including process mapping), risk management, cost control, budgeting, and scope management aligned with PMBOK standards. Familiarity with IT infrastructure systems such as Salesforce, SharePoint, ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning), Content Management Systems (CMS), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and other technical tools relevant to manufacturing programs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings effectively and produce clear technical documentation tailored for varied audiences. Proven ability in project portfolio management (PPM) including prioritization of multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong organizational skills combined with technical writing expertise; capable of managing multiple stakeholders across complex projects seamlessly.
