First-Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K)
Company:
The Boeing Company Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a First-Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the Aircraft Operations Team based out of Oklahoma City, OK.Position Responsibilities:
Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives in accordance with MS&B and BDS business goals and objectives Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals Maintain technical, cost and schedule aspects of the IPT, including design, development, integration and support of the IPT's Mission Systems products and charter Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees Identify training requirements and assure opportunities are available to support the team's development Partner with local and enterprise-wide design centers to develop staffing strategies for successful program execution Responsible for the performance management and evaluation of direct reports including 1:1 coaching, employee development and ensuring technical proficiency Meet commitments, and drive quality, efficiency, and affordability Mentor and coach all levels of engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of leaders and engineers To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace 5+ years of experience working in operations or manufacturing environment Experience in developing and implementing process improvements Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership" Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher Previous project management experience Experience working with cross-functional teams Excellent organizational and time management skills Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Conflict of Interest:
