This is not an order-taking sales position. We need someone who enjoys opening doors, solving customer problems, closing sales, developing long-term relationships, and helping manufacturers bring products to market. Job Overview The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for Quadel Industries and Beaver State Plastics. This individual will focus on propietary products and custom manufacturing opportunities involving rotational molding, extrusion molding, injection molding, and related manufacturing services. The ideal candidate possesses an entrepreneurial mindset and approaches business decisions with an ownership mentality. They understand that every customer interaction, quote, and opportunity contributes directly to the company's growth and success. We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager to lead our efforts to expand our presence in the custom plastics manufacturing industry. In this role, you will drive strategic growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and collaborating across teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer demands. Your energy and expertise will help propel our company forward in a competitive marketplace. Key Responsibilities — Business Development & Sales Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry research. Perform outbound sales activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and customer visits. Develop relationships with OEMs, product developers, engineers, purchasing managers, and manufacturing decision-makers. Manage opportunities through the entire sales cycle from lead generation through production launch. Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and business reviews. Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to develop customer solutions. Grow existing customer relationships while expanding account penetration. Meet or exceed sales growth and profitability objectives. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and tools like mfg.com Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's customer base and market share Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders Lead sales negotiations, prepare proposals, and close deals effectively Collaborate to create targeted marketing campaigns that promote our custom plastic solutions Utilize CRM software such as HubSpot to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data Coordinate with production managers and teams to ensure seamless delivery of customer projects and solutions Meet or exceed sales growth and profitability objectives Strategic Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Develop a deep understanding of customer products, markets, and future opportunities. Identify opportunities for additional manufacturing services across Quadel's and Beaver State Plastic's capabilities. Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline activity. Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to leadership. What Success Looks Like — Within the first year, you will: Develop a robust pipeline and close qualified opportunities. Bring new customers into Quadel Industries and Beaver State Plastics. Expand revenue within existing accounts. Become a trusted advisor to customers and a valued partner to our manufacturing teams.
