Stitiching Manager Location:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supports hiring and training new team members, ensuring they understand quality standards and procedures. Supervises and coordinates daily activities of sewing and kitting, ensuring tasks are prioritized and deadlines are met. Serves as a liaison between the sewing team and production management, facilitating effective communication and workflow. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations in accordance with company policy. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. Lead, coach, and develop production staff to meet performance goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Stitching Manager:
Participates in daily planning meetings with other production departments to align priorities. Conducts afternoon handover meetings with the swing shift to ensure project transitions. Execute the sewing and kitting production schedule as set by Production Manager with a focus on schedule completion and quality product output. Monitor and manage real-time production tracking software to ensure accurate project status throughout the facility. Monitor critical control points to ensure products are up to standards and minimize errors. Identifies production process improvement opportunities and communicates these insights effectively. Provides timely updates on critical details and potential obstacles to the Production Manager. Identifies and facilitates training opportunities, enhancing team skills and performance. Conducts regular check-ins at least twice per month with each team member. Collect timing and quality data as required by the Production Manager, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Other:
Maintains a safe, clean, and ergonomic work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards (OSHA). Contribute suggestions for continuous operational improvements. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to bridge the gap between floor staff and technology systems. Must have a strong understanding of sewing operations including stitch types, seam construction, and the ability to identify quality defects at each stage of production Comfortable learning and working within new production management or ERP software Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience and confidence with administrative software such as Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with fabrics/sewn products is a plus. Experience working in an MRP environment is a plus We are an Equal Opportunity Employer # ZR 7-3:30
