About Us Alif Meat Packing is a USDA-inspected halal slaughter and distribution facility specializing in goat, lamb, and beef processing. We supply butcher shops, restaurants, and wholesale customers across Pennsylvania, New York, and surrounding regions while maintaining high standards for food safety, humane handling, and operational efficiency. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at our USDA-inspected meat processing facility. This role is responsible for managing slaughter operations, production flow, regulatory compliance, staffing, inventory, and facility performance while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily slaughter and processing operations for goat, lamb, and beef production
  • Oversee production schedules and ensure operational efficiency across departments
  • Maintain compliance with USDA regulations, HACCP plans, SSOPs, humane handling requirements, and food safety protocols
  • Supervise plant employees, assign responsibilities, and monitor productivity
  • Coordinate with USDA personnel and maintain inspection readiness
  • Monitor yields, throughput, downtime, and operational performance metrics
  • Manage inventory levels, supplies, and production materials
  • Ensure sanitation programs and workplace safety procedures are followed
  • Assist with equipment maintenance planning and operational troubleshooting
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and distribution activities Qualifications
  • Experience in meat processing, slaughter operations, food manufacturing, or plant management preferred
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, food safety systems, and sanitation procedures strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and employee management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced production environments
  • Experience with production planning, logistics, or warehouse operations is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in cold production environments when necessary Compensation & Benefits
