Job Description

Job Description Keystone Scientific Glass LLC, a new U.S.‑based manufacturer of custom, high‑precision laboratory glassware, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations at our Pennsylvania facility. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Production Manager will oversee all manufacturing activities, ensuring quality, safety, and on‑time delivery of specialized glass apparatus to clients in the petrochemical, biotechnology, and academic research sectors. Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate all daily manufacturing operations, including production scheduling and workflow management.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of scientific glassblowers, glass finishing technicians, and quality control staff.
  • Implement and enforce stringent quality‑control protocols (ISO 3585, ASTM E438/E672) to ensure all products meet or exceed required standards before shipment.
  • Manage the supply chain and inventory levels of raw materials (borosilicate glass, gases) in coordination with procurement personnel.
  • Oversee routine equipment maintenance and coordinate external technical contractors (safety consultants, equipment service providers).
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations on the production floor. Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in glassware, precision instruments, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and continuous‑improvement processes.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with non‑linear, custom production workflows is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
