This role provides leadership to technical teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and develops employees to achieve operational excellence while maintaining a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead, manage, and provide direction to Technical Supervisors, Processors, Set-up Technicians, and Material Handlers across three shifts to ensure efficient and consistent molding operations. Drive a continuous improvement culture by identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and optimizing molding processes, cycle times, and workflow. Establish clear expectations for performance, quality, and productivity, and support team members in meeting or exceeding those expectations. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless operations and a world-class manufacturing environment. Oversee the development of all technical staff through structured training programs, hands-on coaching, and mentoring. Conduct regular process and compliance audits to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, quality standards, and best practices. Perform and oversee employee evaluations, including annual reviews, new hire assessments, and internal transfers. Promote and enforce a safety-first culture while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization (5S). Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as scrap rates, cycle times, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal educationExperience:
Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Plastics or injection molding experience strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team development capabilities In-depth knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and equipment Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance Work Environment Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and moving equipment Ability to support a multi-shift operation, including off-shift coverage as neededJob Type:
