Job Description
About the Role Cotterman Company is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our Pennsylvania manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all plant departments and multi‑shift production teams to ensure we meet safety, quality, and on‑time delivery goals while driving continuous improvement. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a results‑driven professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and brings strong people leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop administrative and production employees across multiple shifts Ensure plant operations meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives Oversee production scheduling, staffing, and workflow across departments Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, Lean manufacturing, and cost‑saving efforts Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety programs Represent the company with government agencies related to permits, safety, and environmental compliance Uphold company policies and promote a positive, accountable work culture Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field Minimum of 5 years of industrial management experience (metal fabrication experience preferred) Strong leadership and people‑management skills with proven team development experience Working knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting and resource planning Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies Strong technical and mechanical aptitude Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company systems Knowledge of OSHA regulations, employment laws, and environmental compliance requirements Pre‑Employment Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive pre‑employment background check, which may include drug screening, physical exam, criminal history, education verification, employment history, and references.
