Manufacturing Manager $70,000-$100,000/Year +Bonus Velocity Equipment Solutions Company Information Velocity Equipment Solutions is a leading supplier of packaging machinery. We manufacture, sell and service blow molding equipment, high speed sorting equipment for liquid filling lines and equipment to sanitize and fill bulk water bottles (2.5, 5 gallon) at our factory in New Castle Pennsylvania. We supply parts, service and equipment to 35 countries around the globe and 100's of clients. Job Description Summary The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations including fabrication, shipping and receiving as well as off-site service. This includes leading a skilled team of approximately 6-12 fabricators, welders and electricians, purchasing job supplies and parts. The incumbent will be responsible for scheduling personnel, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with client delivery schedules, making hiring decisions for the shop floor, ensuring that the Company remains in compliance with OSHA regulations and Company policies. Job Duties

• Work in conjunction with Sales and Engineering to develop project timelines.
• Provide employees with job schedules.
• Monitor project/job costs.
• Schedule employees' off-site service visits
• Purchase materials for jobs.
• Develop management systems to effectively monitor job progress, costs and employee performance.
• Make hiring decisions for shop floor.
• Organize and maintain the shop floor.

Background Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED. A technical diploma or degree is preferred or specific experience in fabrication, assembly and/or machining operations. Should have 5 years minimum in a manufacturing environment with a history of increasing responsibilities. Highly organized background in LEAN manufacturing or TPS is desirable. Excellent verbal communication skills and strong leadership skills. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and read and understand assembly drawings and prints.
