Position Summary The Production Manager oversees day-to-day production activities within a fabrication and assembly environment. This role is responsible for ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, workforce engagement, and process efficiency. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate daily manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules, delivery commitments, and operational objectives are met. Monitor workflow throughout multiple production areas and make real-time adjustments to staffing and resources as business needs change. Identify operational constraints and implement solutions to improve throughput, productivity, and overall efficiency. Maintain organized work environments that support safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence. Review production processes and completed work to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Verify manufacturing documentation, materials requirements, and work instructions for accuracy throughout the production cycle. Lead, coach, and support production personnel to achieve departmental objectives and performance expectations. Facilitate routine team meetings to communicate production priorities, safety topics, and operational updates. Foster a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, process improvement, and employee engagement. Serve as a visible and approachable resource for employees by addressing concerns, removing obstacles, and supporting day-to-day operations. Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training reinforcement, performance management, and corrective action processes. Champion process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve operational performance. Utilize data and performance metrics to identify trends, solve production challenges, and support informed decision-making. Collaborate with team leaders and cross-functional departments to improve workflow and operational consistency. Support quality assurance initiatives by monitoring production outcomes and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Maintain accurate production records, status updates, and departmental performance tracking tools. Provide regular progress reports to leadership regarding productivity, staffing, quality, and operational challenges. Participate in planning discussions to ensure alignment between production requirements and organizational goals. Qualifications Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience. At least two years of leadership experience within a production, fabrication, assembly, or industrial manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced operational setting. Experience applying continuous improvement, process optimization, or lean operational principles. Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective verbal and written communication across all levels of an organization. Proficiency with common business software applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email platforms. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand manufacturing processes and production workflows. Proven ability to motivate teams, build positive working relationships, and promote a productive work environment.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Benefits:
