Position Summary The Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology performs a full range of responsibilities at a Connecticut State Community College campus. The Advanced Manufacturing Program Director is responsible for program needs assessment, development, marketing, program accreditation, and administrative oversight of classroom and skills instruction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Campus President or their designee, the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology is accountable for the development and delivery of degree and certificate programs, that could also include non-credit, meeting the instructional goals of the College through effective performance in these essential duties: Key responsibilities include: Program development and industry accreditation Advanced Manufacturing instructors, faculty, and staff; professional development Instructional quality Administration and resource management Budget and fiscal management Program evaluation and assessment Additional responsibilities include: Attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies Service on assigned committees and task forces Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings which may occur during evenings and weekends. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree with two (2) or more years of Manufacturing Technology Industry or educational experience and two (2) or more years of management experience OR Bachelor's degree with five (5) or more years of Manufacturing Technology Industry or educational experience and two (2) or more years of management experience OR Associate's degree with five (5) or more years of Manufacturing Technology Industry or educational experience and five (5) or more years of management experience OR Ten (10) or more years of Military or Industry Experience in a relatable field with five (5) or more years of management experience.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Academic curriculum and course design (credit and/or non-credit) Utilizing assessment and evaluation techniques in academic program effectiveness Knowledge of industry accreditation procedures and strategies Experience supervising employees Managing operating budgets and plans Program evaluation and assessment Preferred Qualifications Experience with non-credit manufacturing job training curriculum and demand driven scheduling Experience developing and maintaining regional and state wide partnerships with industry and community stakeholders Knowledge and awareness pertaining to the Eastern Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative Salary and Benefits Salary range; $80,901- 86,320 approximate annual Salary is based on qualifications, education, job-related experience, and internal equity CT State offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Generous leave policies Multiple retirement plan options Comprehensive health insurance choices Supplemental benefits for retirement and family protection Tuition reimbursement (if applicable) For more information, visit: CSCU•Human Resources•Future Employees.
