PURPOSE OF JOB
Manage the daily and long-term objectives of the Sterilization production areas. Provide direction/guidance for manufacturing projects. Assure operations is in compliance with all Safety, GMPs, SOPs and FDA guidelines. Assist and develop team leaders and leads in the management of department personnel and floor operations. Assure all non-conformance investigations are thorough and accurately assess the situation as well as provide sound corrective actions. Manage and track critical department metrics including spending, line performance, safety, and manufacturing quality metrics. Be a leader to assure line performance shows continuous improvement.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Manage/supervise all department supervisors/leads. Manage and lead all departmental employees to include training, discipline, motivation, mentor and develop in order to accomplish departmental goals within GMP/OSHA/SOP and FDA guidelines.

Responsible for the achievement of key operating metrics in all departments. Insure effective actions are taken to address negative trends. Maintain high standards for quality and compliance in all operations. Champion projects to reduce scrap, improve efficiency, and improve product quality.

Establish a strong sense of cooperation and teamwork with peers in all support functions. Maximize operational flexibility to achieve excellent customer service results with minimum cost. Supervise direct reports
SCOPE OF POSITION
Manage the daily and long-term objectives of Sterilization in the APA and Sterilization area. Set and manage annual departmental budgets for labor and spend. Assist and develop team in the Sterilization operations area. Manage and track critical department metrics including spending, sterilization (Gamma/EtO) performance, safety, and manufacturing quality metrics. Be a leader to ensure performance shows continuous improvement
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Must have positive working relationship with planning/scheduling group as well as the quality organization. Relies heavily on maintenance and engineering team to accomplish departmental improvements and meet goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
