Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The Plant Director leads and is accountable for all operations related processes in the operating plant they are assigned. In this role, the incumbent will have responsibility for Safety, Quality, Cost Management and Production performance of the site against the budget/forecast, production plan and targets. The Plant Director is additionally accountable for leading, motivating and directing the Operations Leadership team for the site, as well as building a positive, productive culture within the organization. The incumbent will closely partner with Functional Leaders on-site and Magnera-wise as an integral part of the company's matrix structure. At all times, the Plant Director will act as a role model and champion the Magnera beliefs, compliance, safety and quality within the site.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the safety and health of all employees, visitors and contractors on the site Accountable for meeting all local statutory, safety, environmental and corporate compliance requirements Ensures all controls, permits, documents and systems are maintained and current Role models compliance with the safety regulations and requires similar standards of the Leadership Team and workforce Develops an interdependent culture in which employees work together to protect the safety of themselves and all who enter the plant Overall responsibility for managing site Safety, Productivity, Environment, Quality, and Cost Develop and execute the Operations Plan for the site to support the company budget and plan Develop the site budget, including capital requirements/Productivity improvements planning, and manage to meet budget; lead the management of the profitability of the site Execute and deliver on the plant P&L (Volume, Sales, EBITDA) Coordinate the site's operation with other functional areas including Sales/Marketing, Logistics and Material Managements, Customer Service, other plans and technology Responsible for ensuring the adherence to Magnera's quality standards Collaborate with local human resources to ensure that the site has sufficient resources to maintain operation of the equipment Enable and foster continuous process optimization, Productivity improvement and best proactive implementation Develop, lead, and mentor the site team for day-to-day success of the operation, as well as longer term performance Support Magnera's Succession Planning and Employee Development initiatives to ensure continual development of employees Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Bachelor's Degree required, with preference in Engineering or related Technical Field. Ten (10) years of experiences working in a manufacturing environment demonstrating advancement in operations leadership, with preference for experience within the non-woven industry (which may include Airlaid, Films, Extrusion, Spunlace technologies), or related paper, paper converting or other process industry Preference for five (5) years' experience leading a manufacturing facility Demonstrated ability and experience for leading using an influential leadership style with a strong focus on mentoring, coaching, and the ability to challenge the status quo in a professional manner, while striving for improved business results Business acumen that demonstrates the ability to manage a P&L, as well as prioritize business demands and operational needs for optimum results Demonstrated ability to form productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally Experience and ability to develop a healthy working culture, including leading change management activities Proven track record of project management combined with strong continuous improvement capabilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Computer and systems capabilities, included but not limited to such systems as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Operational Software systems that may include various
Enterprise Systems Travel:
approximately 10-20% as needed to perform responsibilities
