Position Summary The Remanufacturing Operations Manager serves as the operational leader responsible for overseeing the full remanufacturing lifecycle within the appliance refurbishment facility. This role owns the end-to-end workflow—from equipment intake and machine evaluation to strategic parts harvesting, remanufacturing of high-quality units, and final quality assurance. This leader ensures that every stage of the process is optimized for efficiency, consistency, and uncompromising quality. They are responsible for managing workflows that maximize usable inventory, effectively redistribute harvested components, and deliver reliable, refurbished commercial washers and dryers that meet company standards. In addition, the Remanufacturing Operations Manager aligns supply with demand by managing inventory levels, forecasting production needs, and ensuring the availability of parts and resources to meet output targets. Through strong operational discipline and team leadership, this role establishes a scalable, high-performing remanufacturing operation built on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Job Responsibilities Facility Operations & Continuous Improvement Oversee and continuously evaluate the performance of the refurbishment facility, ensuring production workflows, layout, and safety practices are operating at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness. Assess existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) across diagnostics, teardown, refurbishment, testing, quality assurance, and packaging—identifying gaps and driving ongoing improvements to enhance consistency and quality. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support operational alignment, ensuring smooth execution, scalability, and sustained performance as production demand evolves. Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing production flow, tooling, and staffing effectiveness—implementing refinements that improve safety, throughput, and product reliability. Evaluate and refine machine qualification standards for units entering the refurbishment process, ensuring alignment with production capabilities and quality expectations. Inventory & Logistics Management Oversee all parts, components, and finished goods inventory required to support high-volume appliance remanufacturing, ensuring accuracy, availability, and proper allocation across the operation. Manage warehouse space and flow for both inbound and outbound freight, including the receiving of washers and dryers for refurbishment and the staging and shipping of completed units for installation. Align inventory levels with production demand by balancing intake volume, parts harvesting output, and finished goods availability to support operational throughput and client needs. Partner closely with procurement and supply chain teams to forecast parts demand, manage lead times, and maintain a consistent and uninterrupted production flow. Continuously evaluate inventory practices, warehouse organization, and material movement to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize usable space and resources. Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including scheduling pickups and deliveries, coordinating LTL and dedicated transport, and ensuring proper routing and final destination of all materials and finished goods. Team Leadership Build, lead, and develop a high-performing production team focused on delivering reliable, consistent results for internal partners through strong communication, professionalism, and attention to detail. Coach and manage performance to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met across all remanufacturing activities. Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure alignment, smooth handoffs, and on-time delivery of production commitments. Foster a culture that prioritizes safety and is grounded in core values—feedback, collaboration, empathy, and accountability—to strengthen team engagement and operational effectiveness. Establish clear expectations and KPIs, provide regular feedback, and drive development plans that improve both individual capability and overall team performance. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and implement development plans to enhance individual and team performance. Safety Compliance Ensure all team members follow safety protocols during loading, unloading, and material handling, including consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Oversee the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, and refurbishment of equipment, ensuring team members are trained and certified in forklift operation and material handling standards. Implement and sustain a 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) approach to warehouse organization, maintaining a clean, structured, and hazard-free environment that supports safety and efficiency. Control and monitor warehouse access to ensure only authorized personnel enter operational areas, reducing risk and maintaining a safe working environment. Maintain clearly defined traffic flow, staging zones, and equipment storage areas to minimize congestion, prevent accidents, and support safe, efficient operations. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience High School Diploma, and 7 to 10 years related experience leading teams. Proven experience executing build out and day-to-day operation of a production environment Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Proven ability to effectively present information to management and groups of employees. High-level ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, a high ability to understand specialized technology systems. Strong tablet, smart phone, and computer skills. Special Requirements, Licenses, or Certificates Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Maintain valid forklift certification per local government regulation and company policy, may also be required to hold a forklift trainer certification. Efficient record keeping skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy warehouse and delivery environment. Intermediate plumbing and/or electrical knowledge. Familiarity with mechanical and electrical functions. Physical Requirements Specific physical demands may vary based on assigned geography or equipment. Ability to maneuver in restrictive areas; often squatting, kneeling, crawling, and reaching overhead, while lifting, holding, and maneuvering tools or service parts weighing from 20-50 lbs. Ability to walk flights of stairs, and to lift, and move machines weighing up to 450 lbs. with proper equipment. Ability to occasionally drive long distances. Classification and Work schedule Salaried exempt with performance based bonus eligibility Monday through Friday with occasional overnight travel
