Successful applicants will be employees of Raise Limited, working at ExxonMobil facilities with both ExxonMobil employees and other contractors. Overview ExxonMobil is seeking an experienced Lean Coach to support operational excellence within its manufacturing and plant operations. This role is almost entirely plant-based, working directly with Plant Managers, supervisors, and operators to reinforce Lean behaviors, ensure standard processes are followed, and strengthen Lean culture across all leadership levels. The Lean Coach's primary mission is to coach behavior and systems, not to run projects. Success in this role comes from strong on-site presence, credibility with plant leadership, and the ability to identify when Lean processes break down and ensure issues are escalated and addressed appropriately. Plant assignment will be prioritized based on candidate location to maximize on-site effectiveness and minimize travel. Responsibilities Coach Plant Managers, supervisors, and operators on Lean principles, behaviors, and daily management routines Ensure Lean workflows, escalation processes, and standard operating practices are followed as designed Identify process breakdowns and gaps in Lean execution on the plant floor Escalate issues through appropriate channels when systems or behaviors fail Coach plant leadership on asking the right operational questions and reinforcing Lean behaviors Strengthen adoption of Lean culture across all levels of plant leadership Observe plant-floor operations to assess adherence to standard work, visual management, and problem-solving routines Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering leaders as needed to support reliable execution Qualifications 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, or industrial environments (10+ years preferred) Prior plant or operations leadership experience (Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, Superintendent, Supervisor, or similar) Deep exposure to environments where Lean is strongly embedded (e.g., Toyota-style or similarly mature Lean organizations) Proven ability to coach and influence experienced Plant Managers and leadership teams Strong understanding of how Lean behaviors translate into sustainable operational performance Practical experience with Lean concepts including value stream thinking, standard work, escalation processes, root cause analysis, and visual management Comfortable spending nearly all working time on the plant floor rather than in a corporate setting Ability to build trust and credibility with operators, supervisors, and plant leadership Lean Six Sigma certification not required Work Location & Travel Expectations The role is 100% plant-based, not corporate-based. Will also support Port Allen, LA plant. The plant closest to the candidate's home location will be prioritized as the primary site Ideal travel model (if supporting multiple plants):2 weeks/month at the base plant 1 week/month at each additional site Looking for meaningful work?
