Job Description

Job Summary The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and day-to-day operations of the facility, with full accountability for Production, Plating, Tool Room, Machine Shop, Maintenance, and all Processing functions. This position ensures all departments operate in alignment to efficiency, accountability, and on-time delivery while supporting Globe's quality system, EOS framework, and continuous improvement culture. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable supervisors, foremen, and plant personnel across all operations (Production, Plating, Tool Room, Machine Shop, Maintenance, Processing).
  • Set clear expectations and drive performance through consistent follow-up and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of safety, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strong coordination between departments to meet production schedules and shipping requirements.
  • Review daily operational results, identifying gaps in performance, efficiency, setup, and downtime, and drive improvements.
  • Support new production runs to ensure smooth execution.
  • Reinforce EOS disciplines, including Rocks, Scorecards, To-Dos, and Level 10 meetings. Maintenance & Facility Management
  • Production equipment and machinery
  • Tooling and machining equipment
  • Plating lines, processing systems, and waste treatment
  • Facility / building system repairs or installs (electrical, HVAC, air, water, structural)
  • Contractor / outside vendor coordination
  • Lead maintenance team activities and ensure proper resource allocation.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance database.
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Maintenance tracking and documentation
  • Equipment uptime, reliability, and reduction in unplanned downtime
  • Immediate response and resolution of equipment failures Production and Processing Management
  • Lead and hold Production and Process Supervisors accountable for meeting customer and shipping requirements.
  • Ensure effective planning across production, plating, and processing operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all process documentation and reporting. Tooling, Machine Shop & Inventory Control
  • Lead and hold the Tool Room and Machine Shop accountable for performance, workflow, and tooling readiness.
  • Ensure timely delivery of tooling to production and maintain tooling quality standards.
  • Oversee tooling inventory, storage, and accuracy.
  • Manage machining operations (lathes, mills, and related equipment).
  • Drive continuous improvement in tooling performance and availability. Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong background in: Maintenance (equipment and facility systems), Production operations
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and
IATF 16949
standards (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and technical specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
