CONFIDENTIAL MANUFACTURING MANAGER OPPORTUNITY
Fort Worth, TX Established small manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead daily production activities in a fast-paced plastics and light assembly environment. This position is ideal for a leader with experience in automotive-style manufacturing disciplines who understands how to build accountability, drive continuous improvement daily, and develop stable, repeatable production systems. The successful candidate will bring a strong floor presence, operational discipline, and a passion for improving throughput, equipment reliability, quality performance, and team execution. We are looking for someone who believes continuous improvement is part of the daily operating culture — not a periodic project. Key Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing operations across production, staffing, scheduling, and workflow execution Drive measurable improvements in throughput, efficiency, inventory attainment, and operational consistency Establish accountability systems that support production goals, quality standards, and on-time performance Develop and maintain a strong culture of continuous improvement using practical, floor-level problem solving rooted in a solid methodology (6 sigma, TPS, Lean) Coordinate production priorities with maintenance, quality, and planning functions Ensure preventative maintenance activities are executed consistently and equipment uptime is maintained Monitor operational KPIs and lead corrective action efforts where performance gaps exist Develop supervisors, leads, and production personnel through active coaching and engagement Support safe manufacturing practices and reinforce operational discipline throughout the facility Spend time on the production floor identifying problems, removing barriers, and driving follow-through Create a culture where continuous improvement becomes part of the normal daily routine Qualifications 10+ years within manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or industrial production, with experience in plastics preferred 5+ years in supervisory or management leadership roles Hands-on success with lean manufacturing, Toyota Kata, daily management systems, or other continuous improvement methodologies Automotive experience preferred Experience working within recognized quality systems such as
IATF 16949, ISO
9001, AS9100, or similar structured standards Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability Strong people-management and team leadership skill Experience supervising skilled shop or industrial personnel Ability to manage changing priorities and production deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, inspection, and production workflow Hands-on leadership approach with active engagement on the shop floor Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits Compensation range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off Qualified local candidates with strong manufacturing leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
