Job Description:
Plant Manager - Gainesville, TX We are working with a leading international manufacturing organisation to recruit a Plant Manager for a key production site in Gainesville, TX This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all plant operations, driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while leading continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety-first culture Drive plant performance against key metrics including throughput, scrap, downtime, and delivery Implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives across operations Manage production planning to ensure customer delivery requirements are consistently met Oversee quality systems in line with industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001) Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to resolve operational and quality issues Act as the primary contact for customer audits and technical queries Lead, develop, and mentor plant teams, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies across the site Identify and implement opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline Proven experience managing plant operations and leading large, multi-functional teams Strong background in manufacturing within a regulated or automotive environment Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (certification desirable) Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements and deliver against operational KPIs Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
