We are seeking an entrepreneurial, highly accountable, and tech-savvy General Manager to oversee our complete business and manufacturing operations. This is a comprehensive leadership role with full end-to-end accountability. As the General Manager, you will not only run the manufacturing facility, but you will also drive business development, manage strategic procurement, oversee project engineering, and maintain absolute P&L responsibility for every project from inception to final installation. The ideal candidate knows how to leverage Cabinet Vision to bridge the gap between accurate engineering and shop-floor automation, while simultaneously protecting the company's financial margins. The General Manager (GM) provides strategic and operational direction for the company. This role is responsible for driving revenue through business development, optimizing supply chain costs, ensuring flawless engineering accuracy via Cabinet Vision, maximizing manufacturing efficiencies, and managing the full lifecycle and P&L of every project. End-to-End Project Management & P&L Accountability Cradle-to-Grave Oversight:
Manage projects from initial client consultation and estimation through engineering, production, delivery, and final closeout. Project Financials:
Own individual project P&L. Track estimated vs. actual costs (labor, material, burden) to ensure strict adherence to target profit margins. Scheduling & Logistics:
Coordinate timelines across drafting, production, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery. 2. Business Development & Client Relations Growth Generation:
Actively seek and secure new commercial, residential, or builder accounts to maintain a robust sales pipeline. Estimating & Bidding:
Oversee or directly handle the bidding process for major projects, ensuring competitive yet highly profitable pricing. 3. Engineering Accuracy & Cabinet Vision Integration Drawing Verification:
Ensure all architectural and shop drawings are 100% accurate, field-verified, and client-approved before releasing them to production. Screen-to-Machine (S2M) Optimization:
Supervise the drafting team to ensure Cabinet Vision outputs (nested patterns, G-code, material allocations) are flawless, eliminating costly shop-floor remakes. 4. Procurement, Purchasing & Vendor Negotiation Strategic Sourcing:
Manage the purchasing of all raw materials (sheet goods, hardwood, hardware, finishes, and edge-banding). Vendor Negotiation:
Establish contracts and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and volume discounts with suppliers to drive down material costs. Inventory Control:
Optimize inventory turns to ensure materials are available for production without tying up excessive working capital. 5. Manufacturing Efficiencies & Plant Operations Throughput Optimization:
Maximize CNC, assembly, and finishing line efficiencies through efficient scheduling and plant layout optimization. Lean Manufacturing:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction) to continuously lower the cost-to-produce. Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team across the front office, engineering room, and manufacturing floor. Experience:
8+ years of progressive leadership experience in cabinet manufacturing, millwork, or custom wood manufacturing—with at least 3 years in a plant manager, GM, or operations director role. Software Expertise:
Strong working proficiency with Cabinet Vision (understanding catalog setup, bidding, and S2M machine automation). Financial Mastery:
Proven experience managing full plant P&L as well as job-costing/individual project P&L. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Wood Technology, Engineering, or equivalent heavyweight industry experience.
