$180,000 - $180,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in the plastics manufacturing industry and a proven track record in continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales growth.
Responsibilities:
As a Plant Manager, your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Overseeing daily operations of the plant ensuring policies and procedures are followed. 2. Developing processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity. 3. Planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations. 4. Increasing production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. 5. Implementing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. 6. Monitoring operations and trigger corrective actions. 7. Sharing a trusting relationship with the workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff. 8. Collecting and analyzing data to find places of waste or overtime. 9. Committing to plant safety procedures. 10. Developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred. 2. 5+ years of experience in a plant management role within a manufacturing environment (specifically blown film). 3. Proven managerial experience with the ability to lead, manage, and develop a team. 4. Proven track record of successfully implementing continuous improvement initiatives resulting in cost savings and improved operational efficiency. 5. In-depth knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources). 6. Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise. 7. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes. 8. Computer literacy and the ability to use various software applications. 9. Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills. 10. Ability to create accountability and lead by example. 11. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. 12. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
