Job Description A client of Insight Global is seeking a Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations for the legacy rooftop air conditioner division in Longview. This role oversees roughly 400 employees and two Assistant Production Managers, driving throughput, safety, quality, and overall operational performance. The Production Manager is a hands‑on leader with a strong floor presence, partnering closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to meet production goals. - 10+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally within HVAC but open to seeing other complex, high‑volume industrial environments
- Strong leadership experience managing large teams in a plant setting (client confirming how many of the 10 years must be leadership-specific)
- Hands‑on operations leadership with comfort being on the production floor daily
- Lean Manufacturing expertise required (six sigma, black belt)
- Experience driving throughput, labor efficiency, and production KPIs
- Ability to lead and develop frontline supervisors and hourly teams
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify bottlenecks, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Experience managing safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across operations, engineering, and plant leadership
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred (company offers tuition reimbursement)
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑change environment with evolving priorities
- Experience in environments requiring psychological safety, servant leadership, and employee empowerment
- Lean trainings preferred
