This role is responsible for managing production output, equipment utilization, material flow, cost control, and operational efficiency within a continuous manufacturing setting. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations Direct experience managing plastics blown film and converting operations Working knowledge of extrusion, converting, in-line printing, and cartoning processes Experience with production scheduling and workforce allocation Experience in continuous manufacturing environments (24/7 operations preferred) Experience with Quality Management Systems Ability to analyze manufacturing P&L statements Experience developing production cost models Experience forecasting material and labor costs Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and process flow Experience coordinating with maintenance, engineering, purchasing, and logistics Candidates without plastics blown film experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
Production & Operations Management Manage production planning and workflow scheduling to meet demand requirements Optimize machine utilization and material flow Support production-related customer requirements and scheduling adjustments Coordinate raw material availability and equipment readiness Coordinate execution between production, engineering, quality, and maintenance Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Monitor operational metrics including yield, scrap, efficiency, and throughput Track resin usage, scrap rates, and recovery performance Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions when targets are not met Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and inefficiencies Support operational planning and performance improvement initiatives Financial & Cost Management Analyze operational financial performance and prepare monthly reporting Control labor, material, and operating costs Equipment, Maintenance & Capital Projects Coordinate maintenance priorities to support equipment reliability Manage implementation of new equipment, processes, and product introductions Lead capital improvement initiatives focused on productivity and cost reduction Safety, Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturing requirements Leadership & Workforce Development Direct training requirements for production personnel Oversee performance evaluations for production leadership staff LLDPE | HDPE | LDPE | Poly Film | Bag Converting | Flexographic Printing | Cartoning | Roll Stock | Gauge Control | Slitting | Winding | Film Lines | Die Setup | Resin Blending | Production Planning | TPM | Six Sigma | Kaizen | Manufacturing KPIs H2
