Summary:
Seeking a Plant Manager II to support overall plant operations while overseeing production, safety, quality, personnel, equipment utilization, materials management, process improvement, and cost control. This individual will be responsible for achieving operational goals, improving productivity, managing plant resources, and ensuring products meet customer and quality requirements. As a
Plant Manager II, You Will:
Lead daily manufacturing operations while supporting safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. Manage production planning, workflow scheduling, staffing, and equipment utilization. Partner with purchasing, maintenance, engineering, quality, sales, logistics, and operations teams to support business objectives. Analyze plant performance and prepare financial reports, forecasts, and operational analyses. Monitor production costs, labor expenses, material utilization, and operational efficiencies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving quality, and increasing productivity. Manage production scheduling and material flow to maximize equipment efficiency and customer service levels. Monitor and improve manufacturing performance metrics, quality results, and operational costs. Lead training and development programs for supervisors, managers, team leaders, and production personnel. Support capital improvement projects and collaborate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades and process improvements. Partner with Human Resources on hiring, employee development, performance management, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning. Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, housekeeping requirements, and quality management systems. Support customer audits, quality initiatives, and operational improvement programs. Participate in strategic planning and provide recommendations to improve business performance. Travel domestically and internationally as required to support business operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience. Experience managing manufacturing operations within a production environment Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning, and operational management. Knowledge of extrusion, converting, printing, cartoning, or similar manufacturing processes preferred. Experience managing budgets, costs, financial reporting, and operational performance metrics. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word. Ability to understand P&L statements, production cost models, and forecasting. Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Engineering or technical emphasis preferred.
