The position reports directly to the General Manager and carries full supervisory responsibility for a team that includes three Environmental Engineers, an Environmental Technician, and an hourly environmental crew. Travel of up to 25% is required to support the distribution center locations.

$140,000 - $165,000 Per Year What You'll Do As the Environmental Manager, you will provide leadership and strategic direction for the facility's environmental programs, overseeing compliance across air, water, and waste management disciplines. You will manage the full scope of air permitting obligations, including Title V, PSD, and NSR permits, and ensure the plant and distribution centers maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations. You will directly supervise and develop a team of environmental professionals, setting priorities, managing workloads, and building technical capability across the group. Coaching and mentoring your team is a central expectation of this role, and the ability to lead environmental professionals effectively is weighted equally to technical expertise. You will oversee regulatory reporting submissions, coordinate environmental sampling and monitoring activities, and serve as the primary point of contact for agency interactions and inspections. You will also support the facility's broader sustainability objectives and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with plant operations and general management. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline Proven experience managing a complex, multi-media environmental compliance program at the plant level Direct supervisory experience managing environmental professionals Technical proficiency across air permitting (including Title V, PSD, and NSR), water, and waste management programs Experience preparing and submitting reports to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies Ability to travel up to 25% to support distribution center locations Preferred Qualifications Experience managing environmental programs across multiple facilities or sites simultaneously Familiarity with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permitting requirements and regulatory processes Background in manufacturing or heavy industrial plant environments Experience supporting or leading environmental audits and agency inspections Professional certification such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar credential Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Paid time off and paid holidays To apply, submit your resume through this posting.
