Job Description

The Assistant Plant Manager will drive operational excellence by implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies that create consistency in results and engagement. This leader will also be the main POC for all projects within their plant, ensuring all functions are delivering on key milestones and supporting the launch of products. They will play a vital role in identifying areas for improvement, analyzing processes, and developing strategies to optimize workflow and eliminate waste Duties and responsibilities Ability to manage large projects, work with technical teams, and hold all leaders in organization accountable for the deliverables needed to ensure projects are successful Develop and execute strategies that engage employees through empowerment and ownership Build lean tools that are interactive and allow operators / FLL to drive decisions on daily basis Managing all continuous improvement initiatives and strategies Identify best practices within and outside the company and serving as a channel for best-practice sharing and adoption across all plants Challenge organizational leaders when necessary to create an action-based culture of continuous improvement and increase CI and Lean-oriented thinking throughout the organization Actively analyze company processes and procedures while developing process enhancement strategies Train, mentor, and guide team in new processes Qualifications Must have experience in pillar rollout and execution such as AM, PM, FI, etc Must have expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis Must be proficient in data visualization tools and statistical analysis Required to have strong project management, coaching, and influencing skills to work across all levels of the organization Must have excellent written and oral communication skills Preferred experience in Six Sigma and DMAIC Preferred 5+ years of experience in process optimization and operations Working conditions Must be able to work any/all shifts as assigned or required Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and/or weekends as required Physical requirements A non-slip resistant work shoe Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves when warranted Lifting at times of up to 50 lbs. without assistance
