Schaeffer is looking for a hands-on, results-driven Plant Manager to oversee its manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive and practical knowledge of pipe/tube mills, roll-formers, slitting equipment and related machinery, with a proven track record of optimizing yields, driving continuous improvement, and managing shop employees.

CEO Key Responsibilities Hands-on Oversight :
Lead daily production activities with a thorough working knowledge of steel product manufacturing equipment.
Production & Efficiency :
Prepare production schedules and daily operating reports to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
Equipment Maintenance :
Direct maintenance personnel to perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex machinery failures.
Safety & Compliance :
Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with safety standards and internal operational protocols.
Team Leadership :
Train, coach, and evaluate production staff to foster a performance-based culture centered on accountability and teamwork.
Continuous Improvement :
Implement lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices to improve throughput, quality control, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications Experience :
5+years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, specifically within the steel product manufacturing industry.
Technical Expertise :
prefer hands-on, working knowledge of: Pipe and tube mills Slitting machinery Roll-forming equipment Tooling changeovers and equipment maintenance
Education :
Manufacturing/industrial training is preferred.
Skills :
Must be proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, and possess strong skills in problem-solving, strategic planning, and employee relations.
Mindset :
A hands-on leader who is comfortable spending time on the shop floor to drive results.
