JOB SUMMARY

Manages Bellingham site production to include production operations, production scheduling, capacity/labor planning, and materials management. Utilizes systems with the primary goals of reducing costs, improving procedures and finished product, and increasing profit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategically manage Production processes including Receiving, Moving, Transplanting and Picas inventory tracking Plan weekly production, location and spacing needs Develop strategies for production and receiving efficiencies Adhere to Production software user protocols for successful inventory accuracy and availability Lead, train and develop the team Work with leadership on Continuous Improvement initiatives

Initiative-driven with the ability to prioritize work for results outcomes within a fast-paced working environment Effective time management with the ability to balance floor and office time Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in written Strong leadership, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills Comprehensive knowledge on production of quality plant material

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in horticulture or related field, or relevant experience 4-6 years of industry experience, or an equivalent combination 2-4 years of supervisory experience Experience with perennials and annuals required Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and production software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work long hours as needed during busy season, including some weekends Work in both an office and greenhouse environment Lift up to 30 pounds

PAY RANGE

[$32.00-$38.00] Pay rate is determined by various components including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location.
