Job Description

Production Manager 11591 Watertank Road, Burlington, WA 98233 From $100,000 a year - Full-time From $100,000 a year - Full-time 1.0 SUMMARY We are looking for a hands-on Production Manager to oversee all day-to-day production activities, including machine shop operations, mechanical/electrical assembly, and test/check processes. This role is focused on ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while meeting quality and delivery standards. 1.0 DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise production operations across machining, assembly, and final testing areas.
  • Monitor workforce performance, resource allocation, and equipment utilization to maximize productivity.
  • Troubleshoot issues on the shop floor and work with teams to resolve them quickly.
  • Maintain and enforce safety protocols, cleanliness, and organization in all work areas.
  • Work closely with engineering, planning, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, training, and support to supervisors, technicians, and operators.
Machining Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other equipment in the machine shop.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machinery, tooling, and production processes.
  • Ensure that machines are properly maintained and calibrated to meet production standards.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce safety policies and ensure a safe working environment, complying with all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure that all employees are trained in safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 2.0 SKILLS
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of machine shop safety standards and best practices.
3.0 EDUCATION
AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on production management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes (e.g., CNC), mechanical/electrical assembly, and product testing.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working on the shop floor in a fast-paced environment.
