Job Description
Production Manager - Plastic Injection Molding Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader with deep plastic injection molding experience? Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the Auburn area, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations within a high-volume plastic injection molding environment. This is not a general manufacturing management position. Candidates must have direct experience managing production operations in a plastic injection molding facility and understand the unique challenges of molding processes, production scheduling, quality, tooling, staffing, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day production operations within a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment
- Manage production schedules to meet customer demand, quality standards, and delivery commitments
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency initiatives throughout the operation
- Supervise, coach, and develop production supervisors and manufacturing teams
- Partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, tooling, and supply chain teams to support operational goals
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and manufacturing best practices
- Support workforce planning, employee development, and performance management activities What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Plant Manager, or similar leadership role
Required:
Direct plastic injection molding manufacturing experience- Strong understanding of molding processes, production flow, quality systems, and manufacturing operations
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Proven ability to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with manufacturing metrics, production reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
- Background working closely with tooling, engineering, and maintenance teams
