Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead all aspects of our precast concrete manufacturing operation. The General Manager will be responsible for strategic leadership, operational excellence, financial performance, customer satisfaction, employee development, and overall business growth. This executive leadership position requires a proven track record in manufacturing, construction materials, precast concrete operations, and team leadership. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Direct and oversee all office administration, plant operations, including production, quality control, engineering, maintenance, transportation, and field services.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Ensure production schedules meet customer requirements and project deadlines.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Financial Management
  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets and capital expenditure plans.
  • Monitor financial performance, profitability, and cost control initiatives.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to support business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures. Sales & Business Development
  • Partner with sales and estimating teams to develop growth strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, engineers, architects, and industry stakeholders.
  • Support business development efforts and market expansion initiatives.
  • Review major bids, contracts, and strategic project opportunities. Team Leadership
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing managers and employees.
  • Establish performance goals and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture across all departments.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental, quality, and industry standards.
  • Lead risk management and regulatory compliance initiatives. Strategic Planning
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business plans.
  • Identify market trends, operational challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead capital improvement projects and facility expansion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on company-wide strategic objectives. Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, construction materials, precast concrete, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-department operations and large teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and profit-and-loss management experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence and organizational growth. Preferred
  • Experience in PCI-certified precast manufacturing operations.
  • MBA or advanced business degree.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, production planning, and manufacturing analytics.
  • Experience managing multiple facilities or regional operations. Compensation & Benefits
