Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Program Manager to lead innovative space and defense manufacturing initiatives. Responsibilities Lead the planning, development, and execution of space and defense manufacturing programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements. Utilize Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe methodologies to manage project lifecycles from inception through delivery, maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs. Conduct comprehensive requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process modeling to define project scope and objectives clearly. Implement program development strategies utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root cause analysis techniques to optimize processes and improve quality outcomes. Oversee project scheduling, risk management, scope management, cost control, and earned value management to ensure timely delivery within budget constraints. Facilitate effective communication across teams through meeting facilitation, technical writing, and presentation skills; manage stakeholder expectations proactively. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and IT infrastructure integrations using tools such as Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, Smartsheet, and other PPM (Project Portfolio Management) software. Supervise team members in project coordination efforts while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through methodologies like Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen. Utilize project management software including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Trello, Basecamp, and Project Server for comprehensive project planning and tracking. Experience Proven experience in program management within space or defense manufacturing sectors with a strong background in project engineering or product development. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex technical environments. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or equivalent frameworks; familiarity with IT project management is a plus. Skilled in data analysis techniques using SAS or similar tools for data collection and decision-making support. Strong background in process improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma certification; experience applying Kaizen principles is preferred. Experience managing large-scale projects utilizing tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent scheduling platforms; familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) is advantageous. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-moving environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and facilitate conflict resolution among diverse stakeholders.
