Job Description:
Position Overview Our client is seeking a hands-on Director of Manufacturing to lead plant operations, drive strategic initiatives and scale manufacturing capabilities during a high-growth phase. This individual will play a critical role in advancing the company's lean manufacturing journey, improving operational efficiency and implementing automation across the facility. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of plant operations, including manufacturing, engineering and EH&S. Take ownership of the company's lean manufacturing transformation and building upon the current foundation established by external consultants and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks, improve throughput and optimize production scheduling. Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability. Oversee a team of eight direct reports and approximately 150 indirect employees. Implement best practices in operational strategy, process improvement and performance management. Partner cross-functionally to align operations with business growth objectives. Qualifications 10 or more years of experience in aerospace manufacturing. More than three years of experience in a Plant Manager, Site Leader or similar operations leadership role. Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational excellence. Experience scaling operations in a growth environment, ideally within a similarly sized facility. Background in plastics (injection molding) and/or metals manufacturing. Proven ability to drive automation and improve manufacturing processes. Education is flexible; experience and leadership capability are prioritized.
