B Shift, Monday-Thursday, 5:30 PM - 4:30 AM (OT as needed) Job Summary The Production (Assembly) Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily production activities within the assembly facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations by directing production personnel, analyzing performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to meet production goals. Required Skills & Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (resistance welding preferred) Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles Demonstrated leadership and team management experience Ability to interpret production schedules and manage manpower requirements Strong organizational and decision-making skills Effective communication and technical presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment Monitor and improve performance metrics including efficiency, scrap, on-time delivery, and PPM Identify, investigate, and implement countermeasures for production, safety, and quality issues Collaborate with other departments to reduce costs and improve overall performance Ensure proper inventory control through accurate reporting and production systems Review production schedules and allocate manpower accordingly Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations for team members Train Team Leaders and Production Associates in safety, quality, and productivity standards Drive continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives to eliminate waste and improve efficiency Lead and support closure of safety and quality incidents Engage actively with production teams to achieve departmental goals Prioritize tasks and coordinate effectively with team members Overtime is required as part of the role Mathematical & Computer Skills Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Other Qualifications Travel may be required for training or support of sister facilities Physical Demands Regular use of hands, reaching, talking, and hearing Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and driving Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 35 pounds occasionally Must meet visual requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Work may include above-shoulder tasks (non-repetitive in fabrication environments) Work Environment Manufacturing and office environments with exposure to moving mechanical parts Climate-controlled facility with occasional exposure to vibration from hand tools No routine exposure to extreme weather conditions Loud noise levels may require use of PPE in accordance with policy Job Category (Physical Demand Classification)
