Annually Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Finish Room Manager to lead and oversee all operations within the Finish Room. This role is responsible for supervising a team of approximately 25+ employees while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all daily operations of the Finish Room, ensuring production schedules are met on time Oversee workflow and maintain proper sequencing of parts throughout the finishing process Monitor all areas of the department to ensure team members are properly trained and performing their duties effectively Ensure all finishing equipment is operating efficiently and address maintenance needs proactively Verify proper spraying, staining, and handling of parts, including rush orders and replacement items Communicate with leadership regarding labor, scheduling, quality, or supply concerns Work with vendors to troubleshoot equipment or material issues and improve processes Train, develop, and support team members to enhance performance and productivity Monitor usage of finishing materials and supplies Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all workplace safety standards Maintain a "zero defects" mindset to ensure high product quality Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department Manage multiple projects and take on additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of management experience supervising teams of 20+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of: Lean manufacturing principles Problem-solving techniques Finishing processes (painting, spraying, staining) Finishing equipment, coatings, and materials Wood species and cabinet components (doors, drawer fronts, etc.) Basic barcode systems Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Bilingual (Spanish/English) required Benefits Offered!!
